Love your leftovers
It is estimated Kiwis spend $872 million a year on food that then gets thrown away uneaten! With rising food prices, we need to get savvy and reduce our food waste.
According to Love Food Hate Waste, the main reasons we waste food are because we cook too much, we don’t eat our leftovers and food in the fridge and the freezer goes off.
Leftovers are the second most wasted food item in New Zealand. Repurposing them will not only save you money but can be incredibly satisfying. With a little bit of love, leftovers can be even better the second time around! They can be a great lunch option for the next day.
