Guacamole

This is a great recipe when avocadoes are in season (September to April). Make a bowl the next time you are sharing kai with whānau or friends.

Makes a bowl!


What you need

  • 1 large or 2 small avocado, mashed

  • 1 teaspoon or 2 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 2 tablespoons natural yoghurt

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Method

  1. Gently combine all ingredients in a medium-szied bowl.

  2. Serve with vegetable sticks, crackers or toasted pita.


Variations

  • Add finely diced tomato or a dash of chilli sauce
